The school enables young students who are pregnant or have an infant under 18 months, access to:
- Specialty parenting programs and supports
- Small, inclusive setting
- Nurturing & safe onsite licensed childcare for infants up to 18 months
- Daily breakfast and lunch
- Links to community programs
- Transportation may be provided
Work Towards High School Completion
Students at the School for Young Moms have the chance to:
- Earn high school credits
- Work at their own pace
- Receive help from the teacher
- Attend Monday to Friday throughout the school year
- Have your own timetable
- Access secondary school resources and programs
- Ongoing registration throughout the school year
- Register during pregnancy or after baby has arrived
Young parents achieve these outcomes with the assistance of Family Educators from the Peterborough and Child Family Centres.
