The school enables young students who are pregnant or have an infant under 18 months, access to:

  • Specialty parenting programs and supports
  • Small, inclusive setting
  • Nurturing & safe onsite licensed childcare for infants up to 18 months
  • Daily breakfast and lunch
  • Links to community programs
  • Transportation may be provided

Work Towards High School Completion

Students at the School for Young Moms have the chance to:

  • Earn high school credits
  • Work at their own pace
  • Receive help from the teacher
  • Attend Monday to Friday throughout the school year
  • Have your own timetable
  • Access secondary school resources and programs
  • Ongoing registration throughout the school year
  • Register during pregnancy or after baby has arrived

Young parents achieve these outcomes with the assistance of Family Educators from the Peterborough and Child Family Centres.
